oBaz

I've always heard that shops and retailers are prepared to barter with clients on pricing, including many of the chain, but I never have the courage to actually haggle with vendors. To be honest, I love discounts, but very bad at haggling price. Now, with the launch of oBaz, I can simple get the new service to do all of my trades for me. Chicago-based oBaz Announces Lightbank, venture firm founded Groupon co-founders Eric Lefkofsky and Brad Keywell, maintained his run. Amount of the investment was not disclosed.

oBaz, short for online Bazaar, allows anyone to create their own group-minded buyers looking to get a good price for the same product or service. You just place the item you want on oBaz, wait for people to join your group (minimum 25 person must be a bargain for the product), and then let oBaz his miracles. oBaz traders will reach traders or manufacturers and use groups and their own negotiating experience to get the best possible deal.

The bigger the group, more leverage roving team oBaz has. Users can create a group by sharing with Facebook, Twitter and email. Each team has seven days to build the critical mass after the deal is the product group is closed to the public and members of the group are sent to the access to the offer. However, Panel members are not obliged to buy if they are not happy with the deal. Transactions are paid directly to the partner websites or in store with the help of promotional codes or print coupons.

Of course you may be wondering if this actually works. But the company soft start, members were able to get a pretty decent prices. The last group deals at oBaz include: $ 300 off camera Nikon Kit, which usually retails for $ 900; $ 130 sunglasses Ray Ban Wayfarer for just $ 80, $ 120 off Bob strollers; 50 per cent of the GMAT online course; free $ 45 coin purse with the purchase of Longchamp Tote; Lacrosse stick and retails for $ 105 sold through oBaz for $ 30.

Founders Brian Ficho and Greg Kaplan are former employees of Lightbank. Ficho tells us that the beauty of oBaz that is location agnostic, so people should not be based in a specific area to get a bargain.

Personally I would use oBaz. As I mentioned above, I don't have a big roving skills, but I like discount (who doesn't). Outsourcing this action seems to be the best option. If oBaz can get a critical mass of people to start interacting with the site, it can really take off. personally, I have my eye on a pair of Bose noise-canceling headphones. Anybody else?
