Havok, provider of interactive software for games, entertainment and modeling industries which was acquired by Intel in 2007, this morning announced that it has acquired long-time partner Trinigy, a provider of 3D game engine with offices in Germany; Austin, Texas (United States) and Seoul (Korea). Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Trinigy vision game engine used in quite a wide range of games and simulation companies and is available on all major platforms, from PC to game consoles such as PlayStation, XBOX 360 and Nintendi Wii, browsers and mobile devices.

With the addition of Trinigy vision engine Havok's technology portfolio currently grows to include the possibility of rendering. Now it should be known as the engine of the vision of Havok.

Havok provides interactive software and services for companies such as Sony, Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft and Activision. Its technology is used for games such as Halo 2, Halo 3, Bioshock 2, Assassin's Creed, Resident Evil 5 and much more.

It is expected that the transaction will close by mid-August.
